What will it cost?

The proposed master plan for school replacement has been developed with lots of thought to controlling annual cost to taxpayers and to assuring replacement of schools over a reasonable time period.

Total construction costs are estimated at about $235 million over 20 years, with repayment completed 30 years after that. The proposed master plan includes replacing the high school and three elementary schools, plus upgrades to current schools that must serve the district for some years to come. The plan's budget also accounts for inflation, site preparation, engineering and other costs.
